Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems will you be able to pick from?
An Operating System is the software that interacts with the hardware of a PC and functions as the intermediary between applications and the hardware, which includes peripherals such as a printer, a mouse or a keyboard. When you run an app, it sends requests to the OS through an API (Application Program Interface) and the communication is done via a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Similar to a personal computer, web hosting servers also use an Operating System which serves as a host for all of the software installed on them, including script apps or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, and many others. A virtual machine can be created on a physical one, so you could install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment in contrast with the physical server host OS.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server packages that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux distributions - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they are also known as the most dependable and secure OSs. We provide three different ones because each one of them is backed by a different community. The packages that you could add on your web server are different and this may matter in case you want to install some piece of software with specific requirements regarding the hosting environment. In this light, the hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server also depends on the OS that you'll choose. You can select any of the three Operating Systems throughout the order procedure, however if necessary, we can always install the server anew with another one upon your request. As an additional service that you may add to the package at any moment, we can update the OS on a regular basis so as to keep it as risk-free as possible.
